Turkey Talk… and Social Engagement

It’s hard to believe that it’s Thanksgiving again! So much has happened since last year’s big feast, but one thing that never changes is the centerpiece of most tables on the 4th Thursday of November: the turkey. Yes, the turkey has been celebrated, pardoned and a rumored choice of the U.S. national bird.

However, we’re all about brands and social engagement at Affinity Answers, so we thought it would be fun to see which turkey brands gain the most engaged fans – those who comment, post, retweet, etc. – this time of year. In 2014, Foster Farms had the greatest percentage growth of engaged fans. While Butterball remains the top seller in the U.S., Foster Farms’ social presence is clearly inspiring behavior that leads to long-term branding and relationship building with consumers. Will 2015 sales show Foster Farms gaining more ground in the competitive turkey landscape?
