Congratulations to Nickelodeon!

Before the curtain falls on 2014, a big congratulations is due for our client, Nickelodeon. The network announced last week that it is in position to finish the year as the top basic cable network in total viewers and kids 2-11 in total day ratings. From December 30, 2013 to December 18, 2014, it averaged a 2.6 K2-11 rating.

The success is attributed to new live-action hits, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Henry Danger, which posted year-over-year time period increases of +12% and +11%, respectively, in kids 2-11. Additionally, Every Witch Way is among the top 10 kids’ programs of the year with a +25% year-over-year increase. Finally, the perennial SpongeBob SquarePants is the most-watched animated kids program in total viewers across basic cable.

On the social engagement side, Nick also had plenty of highlights:

– Over the course of the year, the network’s percentage of engaged social fans grew +9%.
Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn’s percentage of engaged fans is nearly triple that of the average children & teen program audience (30% vs. 11% average)
– Social engaged fans of Henry Danger increased nearly nine-fold since September 10 (8.8 times)

We are proud to have you as a client and offer best wishes for an even more successful 2015!
